Tea grown near Mount Mulanje
Rooted in the Shire Highlands of Malawi, our third-generation, family-owned tea estate has been growing with the land since 1923. Nestled in the shadow of the majestic Mount Mulanje, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, our fields flourish in cool, misty mornings, nutrient-rich red soil, and abundant year-round sunshine. These unique conditions create the perfect terroir for cultivating vibrant, full-bodied teas of exceptional character.
Malawi holds the distinction of being the first African country to grow tea commercially, and we’re honored to continue that legacy, now with a focus on specialty-grade tea that celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability, and sense of place. Every leaf is carefully hand-plucked and processed in small batches to preserve its natural complexity and bold flavor.
For us, tea is more than a crop, it’s a commitment to the land, to our community, and to sharing the distinctive taste of Malawi with the world.
