Green Tea

"The Oldest of Teas"

Green tea is the oldest form of processed tea and dates all the way back to the Han Dynasty of China  (206-220). During this time it was exclusively used as a healing method for ailments such as inflammation, digestion and wound healing. It was during the Tang Dynasty (600-900) that green tea began it's journey into the homes of many as a daily drink for both health and pleasure. Today, we incorporate a good balance of each Dynasty's traditions into our green tea habits and rituals. Science would later confirm what the ancient Chinese intuition told them all along, green tea holds many healing properties including inflammation reduction, oral health, oxidative stress reduction, lowers cholesterol, boosts metabolism, boosts cognitive function, and the list goes on.
